Snowball Christmas Tree

If you live in an area with Christmas snow, build one of these snowball Christmas trees in your front yard.  You can build it right next to your snowman.

Fill several pitchers with cold water.  To each, add a different Christmas color using drops of food coloring…red, green, yellow, blue.  Go outside with the pitchers and watering can.  Form dozens of snowballs.  Dye most of them green by pouring cold colored water into the watering can, then pour water onto snowballs.

If the outside temperature is near or below freezing, the snowballs will not melt, though they will shrink a little.

Make others red, blue and yellow.  These wil be the ornaments.  Begin stacking balls.  Start with a wide round base.  Stack balls on top of each other, tapering each layer to create a cone or Christmas tree shape.  Intersperse the green balls with the “ornament” balls.  Top with a yellow ball as the tree’s “star.”
